Cape Coral Art Festival is Expected to Boost Sales

Despite the increasing incidence of COVID-19, over 100,000 people are expected to visit Cape Coral for Cape Coral Art Festival. The festival will be returning with all the performers and vendors after the live performances are canceled this year.

The businesses are hoping that many people will provide them with a boost. Vinny Tumminello is ecstatic. Tumminello has been the owner of Sicily Trattoria along Cape Coral Pwky for over 11 years.

“The art festivals have always been a blessing to us. The fact that they close the road makes it ideal for pedestrians who have walking circulation,” said Tumminello.

Around 300 artists will be selling their work. They are expected to line these streets over the weekend. For Tumminello, it’s good news considering that last year’s event was virtual. “The vendors have all put a significant amount of effort into getting out and traveling and confidence in us to put together an outstanding performance. It’s also always been a success throughout the years. I am confident that this year’s edition is going to be a great one,” he said.

Art festival usually draws more than 100,000 people

Festival organizers have admitted that the recent surge in omicrons might make people nervous or even frighten them away. However, a candidate for president of Cape Coral Rotary Club and the chairman of the Cape Coral Art Festival, Bob Welch, says the art festival usually draws more than 100,000 people.

“I’m getting a little nervous because of other events that have happened that have now opened up to the public and opened up to a live venue they have seen an increase in their participation,” Welch said. Welch.

Welch believes that holding the event in the open can make people feel secure. As of now, the feedback he’s received is all positive. The event is expected to continue, and that’s what entrepreneurs like Tumminello require and would like to be able to.
