HP has announced its new Fortis notebook series designed for teachers
HP has revealed the Fortis laptop line featuring sturdy Chromebooks and computers geared towards education. Parents and children have had to adapt to the hybrid learning environment created by the remote classrooms that are now the norm after the COVID-19 outbreak began to spread in 2020, impacting all aspects of our lives.
But most Chromebooks and laptops on PCs aren’t designed for use by children, who are susceptible to knocking or dropping laptops, which reduces their life span. HP’s Fortis series of laptops solves these issues while also aiding in developing an integrated learning environment where children can learn while staying connected.
HP Fortis 14-inch Chromebook
HP Fortis 14-inch ChromeBook is Mil-STD-tested with a full-skirted and anchored keyboard that wards off any child’s desire to pick at keys. Additionally, it is also resistant to spills of up to 350 milliliters. With the option of 4G LTE option, your child will be connected even when WiFi is not available to them so that they’ll always be able to get their work done and bring it to classes at a distance.
The latest Fortis 14″ G10 Chromebook
The latest Fortis 14″ G10 ChromeBook is rugged, robust, and designed to work, with a price that starts at $349. This Fortis 14 G10 comes with an Intel Celeron CPU, Intel UHD graphics, and two display options (HD 1366×768 or FHD 1920 1080 x 1920) with eight GB of memory and storage options that range between 32GB and 128GB.
There is also a SuperSpeed USB Type-C connection and 2 SuperSpeed USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one HDMI with a dual audio connector, the Micro SD card reader, and an e-security lock for the Nano.
HP’s Fortis 11-inch G9 Q Chromebook
HP’s Fortis 11-inch G9 Q Chromebook has the Qualcomm 7c CPU, Qualcomm Integrated graphics, up 8GB of RAM with up to 64GB internal storage. It also comes with the option to use 4G LTE. In addition, Fortis 11 G9 Q Fortis 11G9Q comes equipped with 2 SuperSpeed USB-C ports. A SuperSpeed USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, a combination audio jack, a SIM Card slot, and the nano Security lock.
The options for display on the 11-inch Fortis include those with the HD SVA Anti-glare Display, and 2 HD Anti-glare UWVA displays that have a rating of 220 Nits of brightness. Pricing is not available on G9 Q Chromebook, but it will be available in the second quarter of 2022.
